Took my last pred today

Ahhhhhh, I'm so excited!!!!! I took my last Pred this morning and to celebrate I got an upper GI!!! I'm so lucky!!! But you know what, yeah this morning sucked having to drink all that crap and sit there forever because my intestines were refusing to move the barium through so I had to keep walking around for 15 minutes then get another x-ray and it still wasn't moving so after 45 minutes of walking around my body finally gave in and they were able to get the pictures they needed. I can't wait to see what the results are. They did the esophagus, stomach, and small intestine. But afterword I got to sit down and have a nice lunch with my mom and do some grocery shopping. But I'm off to bed now to try and get some sleep before I have to go to work tonight. Now I just have to work out and try to loose all this pred weight. I have increased my fiber intake and it is helping. Hopefully I will be able to look into the mirror soon and not get completely disgusted. I hope all is well with all of you, I wish you peaceful bowel movements.

Great news, Em! Sorry you had to do that awful test, but it sounds like you had a nice time with Mom afterwards. Hey, that weight will be gone in no time and remember; you are beautiful just the way you are!

Scrap girl...you are right; we need just the right on-line Hallmark cards to send for these precious moments! ha!

I took my last pred. Sunday after 7 months. I am so happy to have finally tapered to 0.....

Are you experiencing any side effects? I have been getting nauseated since then and I think this is connected but not sure...

Jblue65 - I just took the last pill today so tomorrow will start the withdrawls. I will let you know how it goes.

AMK77 - My GI ordered the upper GI because I am having a lot of trouble with GERD and IBS symptoms so he want to make sure that it's not anything serious.
