Treatment for UC or IBD in 'Ayurveda'

Hi Readers,

     I am a patient of UC and currently undergoing treatment of 40 mg Prednisone + Asacol. I had the first course of Pred(40mg 5 days, then 30 for 5 days..total 20 days) about a month ago, and i had a flare up few days back, and the doctor asked me to take pred again for a month. I know that this disease is not to going to go for ever with any of these medicines, rather it can only control for few months/years. So I gathered information from some of the friends who had this disease years before and they are fine now by switching to 'Ayurveda' (Indian traditional or Herbal Medicine). And the good part is there is no side effects for Ayurvedic medicines. The importent thing is you have to 100% stick on the diet and the medicine. In India 'Kerala' State is famous for Ayurveda. I don't know about this Kerala ayurvedic center. However, I had tried one in Delhi. I had also tried Unani. Both of them have similar herbs. It did help for sometime. However, the whole process of making the medicines was quite painful. So far as Ayurvedic person is concerned, I found that he was cheating his patients. He was mixing steroids and other allopathic medicines - grinding them in powdered herbs. I found 100s of empty bottles of allopathic medicines/steroids, in a dump at his centre.

Unani was good - He was a Former Dean of Tibia college and was also in Majeedia Hospital. Old man. Very nice person. He is considered an authority in Unani medicines.

But only thing you have to contact them via email or phone and have to check whether any of them has a cure for this disease. I know Kottakal is a fmous place for Ayurveda in Kerala.
