hey all so i went back in to talk to the army about not getting waivered along with reading the email that was sent from the MCO my feeling is that they think i still have U.C. being that the non-waiver came back as a U.C. not waiverable dieses and the comment on it was that gruelling physical activity can irratate and bring back symptoms. i'm having my surgeon write a very detailed letter on what was done and explaining that i no longer am considered to have U.C. hopefully it works meanwhile i have been looking into a local fire academy and wouldn't mind doing that. thank you for all the support hope everyone is having a great day

Did you get my post about talking to your congressman? I am going through mine to get my ID card back since my disability rating from the VA is way higher then the AF gave me. So they are going to petition the AF to give me an ID card so I can still go on base to shop or whatever. But they can make anything they want happen, so I would highly recommend going and talking with him or writing him/her a letter stating your situation and they will get back to you as to whether or not they will be able to help. Don’t give up the fight!! It is definitely worth it.

thank you emily yes i did read it that is my second option i felt that details from the surgeon might go over better originally being he can tell them exactly my physical limitations and background ect... my friends dad who i have been working with (retired warrant officer 20 years in the army) said that it would be a good idea if they turn me down again and i still feel i'm in the right on being able to join. just because of the pull that an endorsement from someone like that will have. i don't think i will ever give up trying to get in, it's something i really wanna do and always kinda have. thanks for the support and advice

If you write to a member of Congress, be sure to use e-mail. Written letters still have to be screened for anthrax and can take a couple weeks to be delivered. They really prefer email.

If you call, ask for the person that deals with VA matters. Then that person will probably tell you to email them, too, so they have it all in writing.

They really can help...
