Inbetween flare ups?!

...What are your symptoms (if any) between flare ups? As in what aspects of your Colitis never completely go away and remain an issue?!

I always seem to have some degree of urgency, even when everything else is pretty normal.

Also, I'm always sensitive to EtOH and caff.

In between flares I forget about having UC.

While in remission (in between flares) I pretty much put the thought of me having Uc on the back burner. Sure I know I still have it and I take 20 million pills a day but I can go out of the house and not give it another thought. I still have some issues but I think that I may have IBS but after a couple hours in the morning I feel great rest of the day. I may still have a random "attack" in the evening but it's usually because of something I ate.

I still have urgency and loose stools once in a while. I also think I have hemmroids and they cause some trouble. Maybe I am not quite inbetween flares yet.

I generally feel pretty good between flares.  I do still have to take all my meds and occasionally have a loose or bad BM but I feel fairly normal.  I do however still always know where the closest bathroom is whereever I'm at just in case, guess it's just habit.  :)

Between flares I'm perfect.....the only symptoms I'd have are from certain foods or stress. If I do have a flare coming, symptoms would definitely be continual or increasing.

I do taper rectal meds to a maintenance dosage over a period of time....so, basically, I'm always on meds...albeit minimal during between flares.

The only ongoing issue I have is loose stool. I rarely have a large formed stool.

Every once in a while I get some D/urgency but I attribute it to lactose intolerance and IBS. Everyone is different. I don't think you're digestive system will truly be the same though...
