Entocort and Side Pain

I have just start entocort about two weeks ago and noticed a side pain/muscle spasm.  Has anyone had this happen to them?

It's probably flare symptoms.....are you not on any other meds such as rectal? Or are you on rectal entocort enemas?

Where in the colon is your UC....throughout or limited?

Antispasmodics could help.....as would some dietary changes possibly.

I get side pain/spasms regularly and at certain times I have to remain in a certain position in order for it to not hurt too badly. My IBD nurse said that it can sometimes be caused by trapped wind or simply the fact that the colon is inflamed and overworking itself passing the food through it.

My UC is throughout my colon. I am not on any other medications except vitamins, Vitamin D, Caltrate, Multi-vitamins. The entocort is working really well, but I was concerned about the side pains. I am taking tylenol when the pain gets too bad.

I had side pains that worried me when I first got diagnosed. I had a ct scan and an ultra sound and I think it was just my UC. It has taken me a while to get used to having pain somewhat all the time. Now I kind of used to it. Mine is through out my colon also. I have a lot of different spots that hurt me now!
