My situation will be different because I have never really had things under control and gone into remission, so my pregnancy was not good at all. I also had a miscarriage right before this pregnancy and was in a very bad flare when I got pregnant again and ended up hospitalized right at the beginning of pregnancy and was told I would miscarry again (I actually had twins and did lose one). I was not actually diagnosed until I was 5 months pregnant and had spent all of those months not really able to eat or keep anything down and was in the ER a couple times to get IV fluids. The last trimester was actually ok, though, and right after giving birth I was doing well. Within a couple weeks things got really bad again, though. I was on Asacol from the time I was diagnosed through the rest of the pregnancy and prednisone for about 3 months of the pregnancy, too. I think that's why I felt so good after birth--they gave me IV steroids while I was in the hospital. My OB told me not to get pregnant again until I have this completely under control because it was really not good for me or the baby.
Again, this is different because I have not found anything that is really working for me and it sounds like you are in a much better situation, so don't let me scare you. I know my GI told me that some women do much better during pregnancy and go into remission the entire time, while some get worse. Also, some get better after with the hormone changes and some get worse. You really can't be sure how you will react, but I would say keep taking your meds and take care of yourself during your pregnancy. Good luck
