Oh wow...that is scary, but a good thing you had it removed.
Did the doc have you checked for microscopic colitis? If not, maybe the biopsies could still be checked for that?
I'm assuming all the biopsies were checked for precancer cells as well....which is a good thing all came back fine.
I would probably push to have a c-scope in a year...and if all comes back fine, do 3 years.
Where in the colon was the polyp?
Did the doc say that it was normal for there to still be bleeding?
Did the doc say that the polyp was bleeding...as to account for the bleeding you were having previously?
Have you seen a rhemuatologist as of yet? or an endocrinologist since you are having your thyroid checked? Either of them would check more in depth and more specific rather than your GI or GP doing the tests.
This site is also a great resource for IBS and other stuff...maybe someone with the same experience can help or give insight.
