My doc gave me Phenergan. It does make you sleepy but it's better than throwing up!
FYI, the nausea and vomiting was my first clue that I had C.Diff on top of my UC. Just something to keep in mind. I had been sort-of nauseous with a flare before, but not like that. I mention it because your signature shows that you were in the hospital earlier this year, which is usually where it is picked up. C.Diff spores can live for months in your colon before they are 'activated.' If you spike a fever or get progressively worse, I'd definitely get it checked. Better safe than sorry!
Thankyou everyone for your replies.
fitmom00 - I don't want anything else wrong with me haha! I have struggled with nausea since being diagnosed with UC 18months ago, but you're right in that its got a lot worse recently (so yer - since coming out of hospital.) I go back to the the gastro clinic at the hospital in 2 weeks so I guess I'll just hold out til then and see what they say.
Thanks also to everyone who advised on different types of anti sickness meds, my GP had given me Motilium when I started the Azathioprine but it doesn't seem to be working any longer. I'm now trying Pepto Bismol tablets, but they're not having a huge affect either. Those ones you all mentioned - do you know if I can get them in the UK?
