Anyone in the USA have experience getting a whole life policy and having ulcerative colitis. Denied or high rates?

Higher rates - if I remember right, mine was going to cost four times as much as my husband's.

I was diagnosed with UC in 04 and bought a 20 year term policy right afterwards. They added a 100% rider (doubling the cost). I didn't go to the doctor for 5 years afterwards (they had wanted to remove my colon so I swore off doctors for a while), and now received a policy with a 50% "good health" discount since I had no recorded treatments for chronic conditions.
BTW - if you really want a guaranteed payout (whole life), you might be better getting a term life policy plus separate annuity or similar policy.

I was denied. I was on pred at the time and in a flare, but completely denied. That was USAA.
