Scope when not flaring

So I had a bad flare a few weeks ago but things have since calmed down.

My question is will the doc still be able to see anything since the flare is over when I have my colonoscpy next week?

It depends on how quickly you've healed. If you were in a bad flare then most likely the doc will see the residual inflammation from the flare.

No, while doing the scope your doctor should take biopsies. Sometimes these biopsies can reveal the extend of the damage even if it is not seen on the scope.

If you had a bad flare a few weeks ago and it's "calmed down"...I'm sure there'll still be things to see.

Besides, the doc will be (SHOULD be) taking lots of biopsies to make sure you're precancer free..etc.

Is this the first c-scope you'll be having?
