Hello everyone!!

I have not been on for a while as I have been disease free for over a year until now. Right from my first remicade treatment I have had no symptoms period. I stopped the remicade about 8 months ago as I didn't like how it made me feel, even though it really helped me.

My mom has just passed and I have moved my family from one province to another. Right now I am going to the bathroom 3-5 times per day (Bum is very sore) and I am starting to have some mucas and some blood!! I am hoping it will just go away but I am scared I'm on my way back to a full flare. My doctor is on holidays until September 1st but I need some idea besides not eating on how to stop me pooping. I now wish I stayed on the remicade even though I hated how it made me feel.

Sorry about getting bad again, I'm afraid I'm in the same boat. I just got off a round of prednisone for 7ish months and was good for about a month and then think I started to flare. My doctor keeps telling me the more I worry about it the worse it gets. Try to relax. Hopefully you can get it under control before it gets too bad. My dr. temporarily increased my canasa to two times a day and carafate(for cramps) to 4 times a day.

Whenever I felt a flare come on I started the Colocort enemas immediately and usually felt better within a week. Also, try eating the BRAT diet, bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. I know it sounds boring but better than not eating at all. Hope you get out of your flare soon!

Hi oilers99..have you been on rectal meds in the past and do you happen to have any at home at this time?

Imodium won't deal with your flare...

Can you get in to a walk-in clinic to possibly be prescribed retention enemas?
