Hi,
I have been home a few days and my doing pretty good, I have some discomfort but not severe. The thing I have noticed with my last two surgeries is that the pain after surgery is less than the pain I have when my rectal ulcer is irritated, yet the doctors refuse to give me anything for that pain.
The surgeon said when he went in to repair rectocele and cystocele that I only needed rectocele repair. He said that I was the worst case he has seen for my age. He corrected the rectocele by supporting it with healthy tissue from my understanding. The pain immediatley after was quite bad but lessened by that night. I had some trouble urinating after the catheter was removed but I was able to get home the day after surgery.
I have to make sure I do not get constipated at all or lift anything heavy. So far, the bms are much easier to pass than before surgery and the bulge feels completely gone. If I can continue to pass bms this easily, I am hopeful that the ulcer will heal.
Wishing for improved health and remission for all of you.
Thank you all for your kind words.
Adrienne
