So I decided I'm going to go back to college, the one thing I'm worried about is enrolling. Since I have UC. What worries me is when I sent in my application they want to see your medical records, & I don't have insurance. We know how that goes. Since I learned from my mistakes I feel like I'll be a better student, but I wonderd if I ruin my chances, & they won't let me enroll since I have UC sad

Has anyone ever experienced this?

You will not be denied entrance to college because of illness!  Also, take the time to visit your school's office of students with disabilities and see what resources they may have for you e.g., private dorm rooms.

That's good to know. Now I'm just worried about getting denied due to no insurance.

Many bigger schools have inexpensive student health insurance that you can buy through the health center if you don't have it. i just looked up the university I work for and their plan is $1400 for a year.

Oh and I forgot to mention. I use to work in college admission and you can't be denied based on health insurance. The school can require you to have it while you are a student.

Schools ask for medical records, to make sure to have had immunization shots.

Second the above post ^^ They don't care about your UC or whether or not you have insurance. Universities would all go bankrupt if that were a factor.

Neither of the universities I've been at have denied me acceptance because of my UC. It's none of their darn business if I pee out of my butt!
If your parents have insurance, normally they'll pick you up if you're under 25 and enrolled full time. If that's the case anyway.
