Hair Loss--Nioxin?

I recall that  a few people on here were using Nioxin for hair loss.

How is it working?

I've been using Therapro Mediceuticals and it has not helped at all. I can't believe I've lost all of my hair  before I turned 21!

I lost all my hair also a few years back....I myself believe it's from a very sick colon and shock to the system and about 20% the medicine we take. it does grow back and I basically only took Biotin.and wore a lot of kerchiefs to cover the baldness.  I also know all the crying in the world doesn't help it grow back either as I cried buckful of tears daily and I was in my 50's,  but still working in the retail world and having to explain to everyone why I had no hair!  They of course all thought it was cancer.... so we're all very lucky that way.

PS: And my hair grows very slowly but my nails I file down every week or so just wish the hair grew faster

My thyroid is normal; I had it checked over the summer because I had/have terrible fatigue (I swear, it's worse than the hair loss!). I had issues with itchness--rashes never showed up.

I started Remi in June of last year and switched to Colozal in July of last year; the hair loss started in the fall (Oct. or Nov.). I think I'm going to switch to Asacol to see if that makes a difference (I didn't have any side effects on Asacol originally).

How much Biotin do you all take? I take 1000 mcg and it hasn't made a difference--should I be taking more?

Oh goodness! Yes by all means up that dose of Biotin! 1000mcgs (1mg) are meant for a healthy individual. I started at 3000mcgs (3mgs) and that didn't do to well either so now I take 5000mcgs (5mgs) and it has worked wonders. I take mine in the morning with my other pills and it's just once a day. Whatever your body doesn't need it will get eliminated naturally into the urine.
