Thanks for reminding me - I like to celebrate both Canadian AND AMerican Thanksgiving LOL!  Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!!

Are you kidding, I couldn't imagine having to have a turkey in November and then again (back to back) in December...I always thought the Americans were the silly one's for not spreading turkey dinner a little further apart LOL!

BTW, my bird was delicious!!!!  I'm good until xmas now LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys! I can't wait for the American one :) I so love turkey and that is usually the only time I get to eat it. For Christmas, we usually have ham not turkey.

My hubby said tonight that I should make a turkey every month????? Could you imagine, I think that would be over-kill.

Quebec might do Bastille Day, but ROC (Rest of Canada) doesn't, that much I can tell you.

We had our turkey dinner on Saturday... it was delicious. My stomach let me know I had eaten way more than it was used to, but it gave me a pass on it this once.

We love the dark meat of the turkey so I buy the legs only and put them in a bag and bake them - yum!!!!!

We don't usually have Turkey on Christmas, so it's not Turkey 2 months in a row. We have a roast or something else. I'll probably go out this year for both holidays. No one to celebrate with...

Yum, I love dark on my plate with all my fixins and the white on a bun....I'm versatile that way LOL!

Yes, of course we have Halloween, I think even most of europe celebrates it...my parents being from Hungary told me that on Halloween they'd actually go to the graveyard and pay respect to the dead, then they'd eat home-made baked goods with friends/neighbors/family, a big get together. Of course that was back when my mom and dad were kids, in the 30's.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians.

Carol, you are not late in wishing us a happy Thanksgiving. Canada’s Thanksgiving Day is always on the second Monday of October which is today. We usually celebrate the whole long weekend. I just got back from my wife’s cousin’s place in North Bay Ontario, about a 3 ½ hour drive north of Toronto. We had turkey on Saturday.

I like dark meat, cartilage, and skin, but not white meat. My boyfriend likes only the white meat. So we get to share the turkey, and I get all the best parts :) Of course, he thinks he's getting the best part too ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I'm looking forward to ours next month, hopefully I'll be able to eat whatever I want and my prednisone induced diabetes will go away! (will be tapered off completely by then, we hope) Soo looking forward to the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, stuffing, and can't forget the pie!!!
