How often do you see blood in your stool due to Ulcerative Colitis?

Every day for over 2 years. Prior to that infrequently.

When in a full flare every day...usually every time I have a BM...when not in a full blown flare I may see it once or twice a month or not at all, I have a really bad problem getting the last couple of inches of my rectum to ever truly heal and have a lot of bleeding because of that...blood is my most stubborn symptom.

Suebear, I was surprised to read that you still see blood even with the jpouch...? A small amount, I hope...! Being relatively new here, I hadn't read your whole story, but from your sig I was hoping all problems were in the past for you - !

None, now that I'm in remission. When I was flaring, I didn't bleed all that badly, considering I had urgent diarrhea 15+ times a day. The blood went away really quickly after I started Asacol and Rowasa. It was my first symptom to disappear.

comes & goes- when I'm due for an infusion, I start seeing blood a couple weeks before it. Then for about a week after I still see blood. Then it basically stops, aside from some pinkish streaks on the tp. But...overall, I see blood in some form far more often than not! For the past 2 years, since mid 2007, this has been going on.

I was bleeding bad for 15 months. Then, when I was on Zosyn and Flucanozole, it went away. When I got off, it came back. Then I had Rowasa. After 2 days of Rowasa, the blood was gone. At the time, there was probably around 1 cup of clotted blood coming out. I used Pentasa enemas and suppositories, but they did not help. Rowasa seems to be really thick. I guess that is why the bleeding stopped. I also used hydrocortisone suppositories with a steroid. They did nothing.

At least a little, every time, since 1984 or 1985.
No more since Remicade.

I had bleeding with EVERY poopie, both on the TP and leaving red toilet water for over a year until I started Remicade.. The very next day it stopped and I haven't seen a drop since.. Amazing stuff, Remicade..

i bleed everyday almost everytime i go.
the only time there is no blood seems to be when i have a more formed poo that is excrutiating when it comes out. like it has razor blades on it or something. usually makes me vomit. but when i vomit, that means there is USUALLY no blood. if any its small amount on toilet paper only.

otherwise i bleed everytime i go. most of the time its nothing but blood.
every flare the whole way through = blood

None when I'm in remission. I lose a ton of blood and blood clots when I flare. For those of you who know what it's like to have your period, imagine your worst day in which you loose a ton of blood. I loose that much plus blood clots everyday I'm in a bad flare. My worse flare lasted for six months. I was so lucky that my body did not get permanently damaged from loosing so much blood. I don't think I'd be able to go through that again.

In remission - none unless it's hemmoroid related. While flaring, every single time I go and sometimes in large amounts. I've been anemic so many times that I lost count!

Sorry for the confusion, no I do not have bleeding with the jpouch. The 2 years of daily bleeding I had was in my last flare which resulted in my surgery. I have zero UC symptoms since surgery 8 years ago.

Everyday since April (when this all started for me) until NOW! I started the Rowasa enemas and I see blood less and less.
