todays colonoscopy

well i had my colonoscopy today. it really sucked cause this morning i was really hungry and my apointment wasnt till 12:45. the scope went good. it hurt but went well. the results were alot better than my first scope when i was diagnosed a couple of years ago. the only thing he said is that i have one little stop with inflamation and thats it. i guess im going in the right direction:)

Sorry it hurt. I've had some that have hurt also - I always tell the doc that I'm a wimp and want plenty of meds.

hey xlator. you know what even though the doc said i had this one spot of inflamation i havent had any real big symptoms at all. i have occasional gas and a bit of cramping but thats it!! the reason why they had scheduled my colonoscopy was because around the end of summer i was seeing blood and mucus but no diareah and bad cramping. i think i was due to excessive stress from my job. i went back on salofalk and felt alot better so the 3 months before my colonoscopy i was feeling real good. asacol doesnt really bother me. the only things ive noticed was a bit of hairloss and i bruise very easily lol im a cluts and always hit things at work lol so i look like ive been beaten on my legs lol. this was my first colonoscopy since ive been diagnosed so i dont know how often he wants me to get them.

It's a great report! When do you go back for the biopsy results? Make sure you get a copy of the report.
It's nice to see the details rather than the doc saying....all is fine.

Good you started back on the Salofalk enemas. Take them for at least 2 - 4 weeks, then do the tapering process to maintenance.


Your scopes should be around every 3 years if all is good with the biopsies unless something comes up.
