Had 1st remi infusion today

UPDATE...I was very nervous this morning when I woke up...even had a little panic attack...So far so good... Infusion took about 2 and 1/2 hours. The nurse was very nice and attentive. She started the infusion slowly and then sped it up after about 45 minutes since I had no reaction, thank goodness. I have a little headache now and took tylenol. Praying that I hear a "Kerplunk and not a bunch of putt putt putt" in the toilet tomorrow or very soon. Hoping that I have no delayed reaction. Cannot wait to wean off the prednisone. WOO HOO...I am glad the first infusion is over with.

YAY GLOVE!!!! I'm glad it went well for you!!! Just make sure you take tylenol as SOON as you feel the headache coming on, that way it hopefully will remain controllable.. That's what I did and I never had a problem with a pounding head :) I'm hoping for a Kerplunk instead of a putt putt... lol..(that cracked me up).... for you ASAP.. Like I posted before.. I had a bloody, mucousy poo while I was receiving my infusion at the hospital, and it was either the next day or the second day when I got the kerplunk with no blood.. it happened THAT FAST for me.. So I'm PRAYING it happens as fast or ALMOST as fast for you too!!! I'm actually looking forward to hearing how you poo tomorrow.. LOLOLOLOL.....

OH.. and I'm feeling much better today.. I ate some red meat over the weekend and I think that's what did it to me.. I didn't bother calling my GI because things are pretty much back to normal so far and I felt pretty darn good all day :) Plus, I have a follow up appointment on Wednesday anyhow, so I'll mention it to him then and see what he says...

Christine; are you tapering the pred now? Your doc should have you tapering since you are doing so well on the Remi. Ask him why not... if you aren't tapering already! ;-)
