Canasa Offer I have an over abundance of Canasa Suppositories 1000mg If there is someone out there who is in desperate need of them. Just send me an email. Please don't ask if you have insurance that pays for it.

PastaJoe, I've noticed you have a lot of hits on this but no replies - and your email isn't listed.

I was just thinking of asking my GI for more Canasa, since I'm on antibiotics for a sinus infection and they're messing with the poos

I do have insurance, which bring the cost of a box of Canasa down to $75.........(still not cheap!)....

I'm trying to get the conversation going, given your kind offer.

I had to edit out the email address as it's against forum rules. Prescription drugs cannot be traded, sold, etc by law.

It's sort of too bad, since we so often end up with cupboards of things we don't end up using......

Funny i was thinking of doing this same thing. I have two BIG bottles of generic Colazol that i wont take. My GI didnt specify real colazol and the first time i got my script i was sent this. i got the real ones a few days later. So what should i do with it seems a waste to just toss it when someone without insurance could benefit from these.

Nevertheless, in the US you can't give or sell it to someone else. Think of the safety angle: if I get Colazal from someone who has extra (not you, of course) it could be adulterated with anything, or it could even not be Colazal. Several people died years ago from Tylenol capsules that had been tampered with. Someone put poison in them, hoping to sue the manufacturer and make a bundle.

See if your pharmacy will take them for disposal. Also, some police departments will accept any and all prescription or non-prescription drugs for disposal. Failing that, mix them with kitty litter, coffee grounds or some other disgusting garbage, put them in a container and put them in the trash.

It seems like a real bummer that people can't decide to exchange medications to help one another. Also this is not an oral medication that comes in a jar this comes individually sealed in a wrapper with the name on it Then sealed in a box. It is a shame people could really use this.confused
