Anyone ever took Rowasa enema with you on plane?

Plan to travel to FL for a week.

So I'll take Rowasa enema (maybe 4-6 bottles) with me.

Is it ok to carry on? I don't think I need a big bag to check in.

If any liquid is restricted, I may have to get another bag.

I think restrictions vary over time. I took it in summer, 2008. Security personnel asked me to open my bag, and show the prescription and the leaflet attached to the medicine. In all, take everything that helps prove what you take is medicine, and get to airport earlier for the security check to be done.

I dont belive you will be permitted to carry them on with you. I would check with the specific airline ahead of time to avoid issues at the hub.

I have been wondering this same thing, I'll be flying in Feb.  I will need to take 2 with me if I'm still on nightly.  I'd be afraid to put them in a checked bag, actually I was going to try to not have a checked bag.  I'd be worried about them getting squeezed out!

If you're in the US TSA says medication is fine as long as it has your name and prescription on it. You can't help that its liquid. The best thing to do it to take them out before you're scanned and declare that you have liquids over the 3 oz size and its medication.

If you put them in your checked luggage, is there a chance they'd freeze? I've heard it can get pretty cold in aeroplanes' cargo areas.

I flew with my last August and had no ploblems at all carrying mine on a carry on.  I just went through the medication security line.  They didn't even make me take it out of the bag or show the prescription paperwork I with me.  There is no way I would have put it in a check bag with as often as bags get lost.

I've flown about four times with them in my carry on luggage in the past few months and it's not been a problem. I just pull them out and place them in a separate bin along with my other liquids (that are in the quart-sized baggie). Since they are a prescription medication, they are NOT subject to the regulations (ie, must be under 3 oz and all fits in a quart baggie) that other liquids, such as shampoo are. One time a TSA agent looked at them a little bit, but other than that, it's been no problem whatsoever. Whatever you do, do NOT put them in your checked luggage. There's no guarantee that your checked luggage will make it to your destination, and TSA recommends you take all prescription medication in your carry-on. Basically, since it's a prescription, they have to let you carry it on-board.
