I am seeing a Dr who prescribes supplements. My first visit with him, He did extensive blood work to look for vitamin & mineral deficiencies. He also tested my gluten level which he said was very high. He told me to eliminate gluten from my diet. He asked me if I noticed any bloating when I ate gluten. As the time, I didn't. Then I started eliminating gluten, I realize that I lost weight. Now when I happen to eat gluten, my abdomin bloats up. I feel better when I am gluten free but it is very hard to stick to this diet. Gluten can be in a variety of foods. I read labels all the time when I go shopping.
All doctors should do this. How were you able to find a doctor who does?
I have the same issue with fructose. My stomach bloats when I eat foods high in fructose. It's doesn't bloat anymore now that I've eliminated foods and beverages high in fructose or containing HFCS.
