As far as I am concerned anyone who has UC and still manages to work is a warrior!
I have managed to reduce my symptoms to a bare minimum except for fatigue...every morning I keep getting up late for work, no matter what time I go to bed. Recently, all my managers at work got laid-off and it took some pressure off me because there was no one there to watch me come in. However, one day my new boss came in (to NY) from LA and saw me stroll in late...I had no choice but to tell him about
my UC condition and he actually understood because he has a cousin with UC.
Everyday I am tired at work, can barely focus and I watch the clock like the world's about
to end.
Recently, I experimented on myself by consuming tons of sugar because I wanted to study specific symptoms...well, I have been flaring for two weeks know...diarrhea, soft stools, difficulty falling asleep, joint pain, excessive sweating...going to the toilet five times before even leaving the house...rushing to the bathroom as soon as I get to work...sigh!
I am a mess right now so I know how you feel...besides my family, my only other joy is coming on this board and chatting with all of you
You are not alone and you will always have our full support.
ps.
One big concern I have is that if I get laid-off, how will I get another job if I can't show up on time for an interview?
