Trying to make my mind, not too sure which one to buy.
Can you tell me the probiotics you like most? Thank you! Peter

VSL 3 are the strongest you can buy at 450 billion per sachet. A lot of people on here have success taking this probiotic. I had to stop taking it though as i am in a really bad flare, and it seemed to make things worse. I will try again when i have managed to dampen down my flare.
Another good one apparently is Natren, they all come in single species. I am going to be trying this one next. I will start with Bifido infantis, then Bifido factor.
If you go to the search bar at the top of the page, and write in probiotics, you will find loads of threads on probiotics.
Hope this helps.

I have had good success with Natren Healthy Trinity - which actually contains three species (isolated from each other), although Mercury28 is right to claim that they also offer separately the strains found in Healthy Trinity plus
B. infantis
as found in Lifestart.
Another one receiving positive reviews is Custom Probiotics. I may try that brand next.
In general, I'm an advocate for refrigerated brands given that probiotics have a limited shelf life (these are living organisms after all). The big drawback is that refrigerated brands tend to be more expensive. However, this may well be a situation where you get what you pay for.

There's a psychological factor with VSL 3. You're doing the best you can for yourself. It was a turning point for me in my journey to remission. I felt empowered. I do think it works biologically, of course.

I am totally sold on the VSL products. They have helped me get out of flares. Right now I take VSL#3DS - it's prescript
ion, so my insurance covers a lot of the cost.
I have also taken Ultimate Flora Critical Care, a high bifido probiotics (50 billion per capsule) and I'd found it to help, too.
