Post colonoscopy pain

Hey sorry not posted on here in a while!

I had a colonoscopy/gastroscopy yesterday, which left me obviously feeling very uncomfortable, last night I had alot of abdominal pain which got progressively worse throughout the evening. By the morning it was just uncomfortable rather than painful. This evening the same thing has happened though not quite as painful. The discharge advice leaflet I received after the procedure told me to contact the hospital if I had severe ongoing abdominal pain. I'm not sure whether to leave it and just hope it wears off as the days go by, esp as it doesn't seem to be a problem during the day; or whether I need to get it looked at. I get a lot of pain with the Colitis anyway just not normally to this degree.

Any thoughts?!

Fair point..thanks! I think I might at least ask my GP for an anti spasmodic.

Remember, they usually take a lot of biopsies, so it's normal to have crampy pains for a few days. As the biopsied areas heal, the pain decreases.

I had my colonoscopy yesterday, and when I woke up I thought I was going to die, the gas pains were so bad. I knew I was going to have
gas, but had no idea it would hurt like that. I hope you are feeling better today--It sucks when you hurt worse coming out than when you went in.
