Medicine for stomach cramps

Hello folks,

I read about some medicine prescribed for use 'as and when required' for stomach cramps during UC flare. Could some one please post name (generic) and brand name.

I am traveling for a month now so thought good to have it with me, in case of emergency.

Is there any other OTC drug for same indication?

a quick question,
your signature says that you can't tolerate any mesalamines. What are the symptoms? I am suffering from migraines since I started Salazypyrine. I couldn't yet figure out if its due to Salazopyrine or just a coincidence.

Mindstyle, I get headaches too (sometimes migraines) with all my meds not just mesalamines. Unfortunately that is a side effect of many of these meds but I also get a lot of headaches from neck issues so who the heck knows anymore! lol I just take Tylonel Arthritis on a daily basis (ok'd by the doc) to deal with all my aches and pains and it helps keep my headaches in check. The symptoms that I get and made me realize that I can't tolerate mesalamines is: increased severe D, severe abdominal pain, flu like feeling and major fatigue.
