I had my first Remicade infusion today. I feel very tired and a little out of it. Is this common?

I'm always tired for the rest of the day after my infusion. I use the excuse to rest and order out for dinner. Usually by the following day I'm back to normal.

I was tired after my first three infusions, but I believe it was more from the Benedryl the nurse put in my IV rather than from the Remicade itself. I asked her to just give me half the dose of Benedryl with my 4th infusion. She did so and I wasn't nearly as tired. Still flaring though

I'm groggy the day of the infusion (benedryl) and usually feel tired the day after.

I never do the benedryl or tylenol, so I really don't notice any difference.

I'm always tired and achy after my infusions for about
a week. Just try to take naps and take it easy. I hope this works for you. I also take tylenol and hydrocortisone before my infusion. I don't notice any difference.
