Finally, first remicade infusion date

Called up my office that I will be getting the infusions and setup an appointment on Monday at 9am, and after I got off the call I noticed I got next weeks schedule for work and I'm on the 6am to 3pm shift, lol. So now I might have to change it :/
Anyway they told me all I had to pay is $50 and that's it, although they said that the $50 wouldn't be applied to my deductible, which I just laughed it off.

But yea, it sucks that I know my infusion is soo close and that I know that I will be feeling better after it (knock on wood) I just have to slave though the next couple of days :(

I hope that the Remi helps you...I had my fourth infusion this week and it has helped me tremendously....I feel like I have my life back. Good luck!!

Good luck!!! I started on it recently and it is definitely helping. I am not in remission yet, but have only had 2 transfusions. I am hoping and praying as I get a few more tranfusions in, I will get into an actual remission and not backslide. (Christine, you have me worried since that is what happened to you!!)

Oh Christine, I really hope it is. It worked so well for me for quite a while-it was amazing to have my life back. I am hoping and praying it does the same for you!! (only for a longer period of time than it did for me!)

yayyyy I just got my first infusion a few days ago and it is a miracle for me. I went from being in the hospital for nearly two weeks to suddenly NORMAL again.. (knock on wood) I feel amazing!

Shortstuff, I always feel the same way; especially when my infusions were longer. I would bring my magazines, books, snacks that I enjoyed (and never indulged except for infusion day!) It was my little haven where nobody could find me; it was the basement of the hospital and who would want to find me? No cell phone coverage, etc. Now my infusions are about an hour and I just take a good long nap and still look forward to the warm blanket and nice nap time! ;-)

Thanks shortstuff! I feel very fortunate to have Remi work so well for me. My nurses have told me that they have many patients who have been on it for a long time and are doing well. I have one nurse that's been at my center the whole time I have been there and he always jokes by telling me that I've been at the center so long -- I've helped put his son through college. lol. I wish you success with Remi too.
