I lost my mother too.  Also from a brain anuerysm.  My deepest and most sincere thoughts 4 U.  So sorry for your loss.

Thank you to each and every one of you for the well wishes and hugs and comforting words...please know that all of your replies are appreciated more than you could ever know as I find them very comforting and I'm so grateful for your overwhelming support.

Today was a very long day at the funeral home making arrangements, and there's a long haul ahead of us which I'm dreading as well...I don't know if my puffy eyes will ever go away, lots of crying.

My condolences to you as well MyUC.

Thank you so much guys, take care, I don't know how much posting I might be doing in the next little while, but I will cehck in as often as I can here at the board.

My condolences, pb4, to you. Whenever it happens, it's never easy to deal with. Your strong will & positive approach to life will get you through this. Try to rest as much as you can in between tasks & mourning duties. It's a blessing that your mom lived as long as 82 yrs in good spirits with multiple health problems, and may she rest in peace. / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Thank you, you guys are so great and it truly means the world to me reading your replies...thanks so much for that you guys, it really does help. Things are getting a little weird/ugly with family members at moments, but we'll hopefully get through it without too much damage.

The ugly family "issues" will be exacerbated during any crisis time. Hope you have the support you need from family and friends to help keep things in good perspective.

I can relate to the weird after loved one's death stuff.

Yeah, thanks Q, just going through the roller coaster ride right now, hopefully things will get better rather than worse as time goes on, always makes the situation a little more sticky when a sibling is also name executor (makes them both executor and benefactor), just hoping things will stay civil to the end....I'm super tired today.

"Tired" is one of the ways we experience grief. Cut yourself as much slack as you can, and be kind to yourself..... and take care of yourself, remembering to eat (sensibly) and sleep and take your meds. Be gentle to yourself; this is a tough time.

Thank you songlady, I've been eating healthy, maybe not as much as I should but that will get better, I've always found it hard to eat when I'm stressed, never been a stress eater, just the opposite....probably a good thing though. I've been keeping my fluid intake high too, son is just getting over a cold he had last week, and as usual (for the most part) I didn't catch it from him, so that's a good thing...I've been taking hot bubble baths and trying to catch a nap when possible, soon things should start to settle down some (as far as the constant trips to the city where mom lived, to have discussions and such), but the mental stress will likely go on until her estate is settled 1-2 yrs so I'll do my best to not let things get to me too much, afterall I'm a firm believer in karma and hope for my sisters (who is executor) sake that she does a fair and honest job as stated in the will. I'll be glad when it's all done and over as I'm sure we all will be.
