Has this happened to anyone?

So tonight I took my Colazal and didn't drink enough water I suppose....
about 5 minutes afterwards I burped and this yellow liquid came up through my mouth and nose. When I spit it out I realized that it was my medicine. I suppose I didn't wash it down enough?
Has this ever happened to anyone? Am I ok? I still have a burning feeling in my nose and a sweet taste (I guess the medicine) in my mouth.

I had a similar thing happen to me except I burped a dust cloud. I think it was my effexor pill though and not colazal. I had a nasty taste in my mouth that I couldn't get rid of for most of the day but other than that I was fine.

I've had it lodge in my throat before but never had the med spill it's content. The only thing I can think of why that would happen is if the capsule got pried apart somehow because the capsule is pretty heavy duty. It has to survive stomach acid to make it the large intestine so that should give you an indication of how strong the capsule is. But I agree, just drink lots of water and hopefully you can wash all that down.

It definitely was the Colazal as I had JUST taken it like 5-10 minutes prior. I have burped stomach acid up before and this did not taste like that, it was a nasty sweet bitter taste and actually when I think back part of the capsule came up too. Not too sure what happened but it was not pleasant at all...

That's what I thought...it's so strange. My husband even mentioned that he thought it was supposed to release in my tummy. I literally took 3 pills with a mouthful of water so that may have been why, maybe when it got caught in my throat it caused the capsule to break?
