I recently came back from another scope and noticed that after these scopes or digital exams I have pretty normal and easy BMs. I am thinking might be because of all the lube.

What do y'all think? Do you lube regularly? If so, which lube?

kops...lubrication such as KY....

I'd suggest to up the metamucil capsules.

What was the scoop on the recent scope?

Ok, hate the lubes!!  No I don't use any except a little AYR when using the Cortifoam.  If you can take Metamucil that is good.  I have tried so many times and it just gives me gas that gets worse instead of better.  I guess I am just a "no fiber" woman!

Recent scope was good. Proctitis is looking under control with nice sharp blood vessels in scope. Fissure was hard to see but you can feel the scar.

Hmm.. so far everyone sounds down on the lubes.

I tried KY when my flare was at it's worst to help protect my hiney, but it's water based and found that things with some oil in them were more effective. I ended up liking the Prep H hemorrhoid cream because it has a little bit of topical analgesic in it.

I find that cortisone cream is very helpful when you're sore. And vaseline is always soothing and healing, especially if you have a fissure.
Most of my UC related pain seems to be from the irritation I get in that area from all of the BMs ... and there is always some blood. I can only imagine what complete remission must be like and am hoping to get there someday.
