Sooo hungry. I'm drinking some yummy ( rolleyes ) beef broth right now. It's almost noon. The true fun begins in a couple hours. I'm a stay at home mommy to two little girls. My husband is working late so my MIL will be here this afternoon to watch them while I spend time in the bathroom. (Then she is going to stay until Sunday but that's a different story. devil) Just thought I would share as you all are the only ones that truly understand! turn

Doing the Miralax/Dulcolax prep. From what I've heard this is the best one. This will only be my 2nd scope.

Oh I'm jealous - not that you're doing the prep but because you got the easy prep! LOL I have a scope coming up next April so I will ask about this one. The last one I did, Moviprep, wasn't too bad but it wasn't good either. Good luck with the scope and let us know how it goes ok?

IMO that's the easiest prep - not bad at all.
But, gosh, I feel for you. I had UC before my kids were born, and started needing annual scopings when my older one was 1 1/2... so, lots of colonoscopies, and it was absolutely the hardest when they were little. They still needed to eat, whether or not I could!! Gosh, the memories of feeding them at the moment I needed to start the Drink...
So, Amy my friend, it gets better and better, easier, as they get older. I hope that thought helps some... and good your MIL can deal with the kids, especially if they enjoy her.

So, atta girl - You can do this!! We'll cheer you on!! Just think how good you'll feel when it's over with!!

I will definitely let everyone know how it goes. My appt. is the first one of the day! I have to be there at 7am which sucks, but I'll be glad to have it over. Last time, my appt. was at 11 or noon can't remember. I thought I was going to pass out in the waiting room b/c I was so dehydrated. Not being able to drink even water on the day of your procedure it torture.

Yeah, that prep is not bad at all. MIralax has no taste. Good luck!

Agreed, the miralax/ducolax prep is the best. I did the phosphosoda the first time and then magnesium citrate and just the thought of them makes me gag.

I've never done the miralax before...only the phosphosoda and the osmo prep....how much liquid is there to drink with the miralax?

64 oz with the Miralax Prep. On my 3rd cup, nothing yet....

I used to hate the prep too, but after my gastric bypass two years ago I haven't felt hunger since then. Subsequent preps were/are much easier as far as being hungry goes. I'm not suggesting to get gastric bypass tho. lol

Oh thank God!! I went o my GI yesterday and i'm being set up for my first colonoscopy next Thursday and I see that I was given the same prep. This makes me feel a little better.
