With IBD if you were originally squeamish about discussing natural bodily functions or had an anal retentive personality, you will be cured of that very quickly.

Oh my god, totally! I was just in the bathroom with the piles of books and magazines thinking, we need some fresh material in here:) And of course I check the toilet paper stash with an eagle eye, don't want it to dip about 8 to 10...

You pick a seat on an airplane based on how close you are to the toilets! Then you spend the entire flight afraid to fart!!!

haha...and that poo comes in all colours, shapes and textures. I even used Red's "soft-serve" term to my GI. He raised his eyebrows at that one..lol.

When geting dressed up to go to a wedding, funeral, etc. means putting on your rubber pants over your underwear.

When you've risked getting parking tickets by parking in the faculty lot at school because you know you can't walk from the student lot without pooping your pants because you were already in the car for 20 minutes to get to school from home

I was at a grocery store checking out, and all of a sudden I had to go. I went to the first bathroom in the grocery store, and I tried to move past the cleaning cart, but the janitor said the bathroom was closed for cleaning. I felt like punching him in the face. Then I started to try and get to the other one in the store, but unfortunately I did not make it in time. :(

I used to be able to relate to every single one of these "you know you have colitis when...." comments.   I love the humor side of it,  it makes it easier to go through,  sometimes.

When you contemplate wearing depends, just so that you can have the joy of farting back. And...When you get mad at other peoples ability fart without pooping themselves.
