Colitis related??

I had my baby two weeks ago, since then i have been having tenderness in my upper right and left stomach. It hurts to touch. could this be colitis related I have been having some cramping also with loose stools. Just curious if colitis can cause tenderness in your stomach. I have never experienced this before.

I think tummy tenderness can be UC-related. I've not had that ever, but certainly I've had GI docs palpitate my tum and ask if it hurts.

But... I'm sure you used all kinds of muscles in the birth, too, so, could the tenderness be related to having the baby?

Likely a call to the doc is the best idea.

I hope it is not UC related but it could be.  I have had some soreness like that before and since you are having some cramping and loose stools I would try to get it under control asap.  I know from first hand experience that many women flare a few weeks after giving birth.  It is stressful enough to have a new baby at home and to be getting less sleep...you sure don't want a flare that gets out of control.  Congratulations on your new baby!!!!  I am pregnant with number two!
