Who gets lower back cramping and where is your colitis located? What meds have you used to induce remission when your flare has given you lower back cramping?

Rectal and little up left. RECTAL MEDS and sit on a heating pad! Lower back pain gets better with remission!

I have lower back pain in my kidney areas all the time now, ever since I started Remicade. Small price to pay to feel better I guess...

I get butt pain/pressure but not really back pain. Have you had your kidneys checked out?

I have lower back pain when I am flaring. I use mesalamine enemas and Lialda. My colitis is lower and left sided.

I have notice recently that sometimes when I empty my guts in the morning, especially if there is a lot to empty (heavy dinner + fiber the night before), my lower back hurts just for a few seconds right after I get off the throne. It's not a muscular pain due to the long sitting posture, it comes from inside. So far it only lasts a few seconds.

A deep ache from my lower back all the way to my tailbone. Just during flares. Proctitis.

I used to get lower back ache a lot when I was flaring really badly. It came on worse when sitting in the same position for too long.
