gee Krissy....I'm just making a suggestion. you have pancolitis and are in a mild flare. You're focussing on the consistency of your stool, which you've pretty much always complained about. Food can change the consistency of the stool....just a suggstion to make some changes to see if it makes a difference...that's all.
You may have mild inflammation for a while until your colon realises it's not going to get prednisone or humira...etc. You should consider a change of 5ASA oral meds....
I would suggest you ask the doctor for antispasmodics...bentylol....that can also help with some of the transit time and hopefully change some of the consistency of the stool. Some foods, such as oats and fruit, increase the transit time...hence the suggestion for people who have constipation.
Bentylol....

Q- I always appreciate your suggestions but I hope you mean a change of food just to help with comfort or transit times or even consistancy?? I dont think a change of food will make this flare go away..are we understanding eachother now? :)
I will update on how my weekend went in a seperate post as I have a few questions regarding VSL And red meat.
