I eat rice pasta ALL the time - one of my comfort foods. I don't find it bothers me at all, where as too much starchy wheat pasta does.
If I'm flaring, some rice pasta with some olive oil, spinach and either a smooth sauce or v8 juice and salt and pepper goes nicely and gives me calories.
The trick to cooking it is to let the water boil, put the pasta in like normal, but turn it way down and let the pasta cook for the full time. Rinse it well.
