What color blood are you experiencing?

ive just stopped having flare and mine was bright red most times ,, and sometimes dark in the morning after using salofolk enema the night b4,,, hope ur ok ?

Krissy, dark red does often indicate it's from higher in your system. I thought Quincy's idea, about maybe some inflammation being higher up than your sig scope went, had a lot of merit. Maybe the rectal meds have helped the bottom a lot and the inflammation up high is still present.....?
I think you ought to speak to your doc if your newly increased Salofalk dosage doesn't stop it pretty soon....

Mines has been bright red today and lots of it, it's been a bad UC day today. I'm running fevers and my head and wrists are throbbing!

Mine is bright red and always seems to be worst in the morning.  I still haven't figured that out, since the bowels rest at night.  You would think it would be more inflamed after several BMs once you get up, but my bleeding slows down as the day goes on.  However, my rectum gets sore!  Can you win???
