Toilet Cleaning

Anyone else frustrated with constantly cleaning the toilet? The more rectal meds I use, the more I have to clean the toilet. I seriously have to bleach the toilet every other day. If I don't clean it, it looks like a mess. I would be embarrassed if someone came over and saw my toilet prior to being bleached. Does anyone else have to clean their toilet this often? It gets waxy purple stains that are difficult to clean. I guess it is canasa/rowasa. Maybe I am too neurotic and I shouldn't worry so much about the stains?

Rowasa and canasa stains....... yup, what fun.
I find it best to keep up with it; the longer the stains sit, the harder they are to remove.

I usually give the bowl a quick brushing after use - to me that's not too onerous.

I bought these toilet dunks that work great. I still clean but I find the smell is cut Waaay down with them. They're The Works. The toilet smells bleachy now and I must say I'll be buying them from now on.

Are dunks the things that go in the tank? I've used those in my old place, maybe I should give them a try again.

What is this purple stuff you guys/girls talk about? I've used canasa and enemas and have no clue what your talking about.

Are you saying your passing a purple substance ?

I don't think it's purple when you pass it, it's more like thee stains turn purple after they are on the bowl. Must be a chemical interaction.

Pick up a 5.00 plastic toilet seat from Lowes.  The wooden coated ones stain quickly.  I used to have to change them every few months.  My present plastic one is well over a year old.

 

Also the spray called Lysol 4 in 1 spray is perfect.  When you are finished using the toilet, just give a spray under the rim and wipe with the brush or even a piece of toilet paper.  It has a good smell and cleans everything up perfectly.

I was my toilet once or twice a day. Call me psycho or not but i find it the more i clean i the less discustiing it is.
I dont even use bleach quite often.
Just brush it after you done and do the seat and wipe it off with toilet paper and flush it ta dha!
I used to clean my bathroom2-3 times a week before but since im married i have the husband on top of that!

And dont get me started on the shower... sign..... men and showers...

This is very simple question most of us hates cleaning and especially toilets. Even I have employed a professional to clean my toilets regularly. I can't waste time on this activity

I don't have the stains anymore and I am still using Canasa. It seems to be: mesalamine retals + flare up = purple stains.

It would be great if I could hire a live-in housekeeper to constantly clean my toilet but unfortunately, that's out of my budget
