It took about a week after the first infusion for me to start to feel better, I got worse a few days after and had a scan that showed my bowel very dialated and my CPR had risen. Two days after that a scan showed my bowel looking much better and CPR was down. I did feel much better very suddenly, though I was also on a whole host of vitamins/minerals too as I had been very ill - hospitalised for over 3 weeks.
The information I was given from the National Association for Colitis and Chrons disease (http://www.nacc.org.uk/downloads/factsheets/drugInfliximab.pdf) was that you can expect to feel better between 2-6 weeks of your first infusion, presumably if you have had 2 infusions it has only been a couple of weeks since you started?
I will just be having the 3 infusions (like a loading dose, IV steroids didn't work to control the flare up I had/am in, I think I'm then onto trying azathioprine, will find out on Friday what the plan is.) My symptoms are mainly under control now, though I'm still getting twinges in my left abdomen and some burning sensations at times but not bad enough for pain killers. I also have a few nasty side effects from the steroids to contend with. Try not to worry too much, though if you are getting worse you should probably contact your consultant/doctor for advice. I tried to 'ride it out' which is why I ended up as ill as I did so don't do that! All the best.
