Can anyone tell me how often do most gi doctors recommend a colonoscopy when you have UC

I would say around every 3 years, give or take somewhere within a year...depending on the biopsy results and how one is doing while on meds.

If all is good regarding biopsies (precancer/cancer)...every 2- 4 years seems the norm.

Mine said every 5 years unless things get worse. Then more frequently. For me it's been every 2-3 years...

Every two years after the 10 year mark seems to be the norm.
There was a long thread on this just recently.
