Has anyone vomited after a colonoscopy?

Well I had to go for a colonoscopy yesterday, I have never had any problems in the past with them but this one was different.

The nurse said she was giving me valium to sedate me and normally I watch the screen and never feel a thing but I felt everything.  It was actually uncomfortable and I could feel the biopsies being taken.  SHortly after they started I told the nurse I was breaking out in a sweat and felt like I had to throw up but she said oh it's just hot in here.

My doctor was present but an intern was preforming the scope and said your very alert throughout this are you on any meds.  No I wasn't.    I threw up on the way home.

Has this happened to anyone before? 

 Is is normal to feel sick during the scope or can I just not take valium? 

 I'm now nervous about having another one colonoscopy in the future.

i usually throw up on the way home too or at least feel nauseas... however i'm only 5' tall and weigh 100 lbs so i'm always sensitive to being put under... so on my last upper/lower gi i told them to give me something for nausea. bad idea! ... all that stuff to make me go to sleep and not feel a thing AND not make me nauseas was too much for me... i actually ended up throwing up all day and night after the procedure! that was my 1st time getting the upper gi as well so maybe that was the problem, or the biopsies they took, or the drugs they gave me... i know one was propofol (michael jackson)!!!
also instead of drinking the nasty stuff i opted to take the pills which was another bad idea.. i didn't know i was gonna have to take 32 pills in a span of a few hours...i started throwing up after the 8th pill!! lol so my stomach was already upset by colonoscopy time.

one thing i remember from ALL my colonoscopies i've had is that the nurses always tell me to wait till i get home before eating or even drinking cuz of motion sickness...

Though I have had 10 colonoscopies over the years ( I am 32) I only actually threw up after one of them.  Which is quite ironic when you think of it, as you know that you have had nothing in your stomach for many hours...I guess it's the medicine coming up.  This was perhaps 6 years ago.  As my dad was driving me back to my parents's house to recover (a short 10 minute drive), I started to feel as though I would be sick.  I urged him to go faster.  I barely made it to the toilet and VIOLENTLY vomited...including it shooting out my nose at the same time it came out my mouth.  I don't know why I reacted so much to that particular colonoscopy as my two most recent colonoscopies (within 5 months of each other) I was given the absolute highest dose I could have been given in terms of sleepy medicine in my IV (definitely more so than I had ever been given before) and I didn't throw up.
