Hey Guys, I have taken cortenemas before but I forget if I sweat or not. I'm on my second one and I woke up both nights really sweaty. Is this normal?

Yes, I get night sweats from the steroid enemas but I also get them from just having Uc, especially while flaring.

Yes I also get night sweats and I am using cortenemas. Just another thing to worry about in the middle of the night.

I've not had a lot of sweating, but realllllly hot on occasion with the mesalamine enemas...I use Salofalk.

Sweating is a sign of a fever, which is normal when one has an infection or inflammation.

I have been doing Cortenemas for a couple of weeks now, and my blankets are literally soaked by the morning. If I have to get up to pee, the sheets are like ice when I lay back down. No night sweats before the steroid enemas at all... weird coincidence I guess.

Also, does anyone know how much steroid the average person absorbs from the enemas? My mood seems a bit steroid-ish and my appetite is a bit over the top too. I am doing two enemas/day for another week before I will start to taper.

C_G_K, approximately 5-8mgs of steroid actually enters the blood from an enema. I'm with you on that too, I'm getting steroid-ish.

Okay just making sure! It's really annoying I wake up dripping more sweat than in my workouts!
