I take 2 heaping tablespoons of psyllium husks w/water in the morning and evening around 9:30 w/2 8oz. glasses of water daily and have been for the past several years. Prior to taking the husks I had chronic constipation but no more and feel much better for it. Yes, I do have a lot of gas but I guess this is something I have to live with as I do not know what will prevent it. I have taken Beano but it does little to prevent the buildup of gas. I have tried the caps. and powder and poor results with the two but have no problem with the husks. The buildup of gas is another issue and have not got that one solved as yet and see no light at the end of the tunnel. These husks are affordable.
