Hi--
Been away for almost two years--that's as long as my remicade-induced remission has lasted. They say all good things must end, but this is really a bummer. I had about 8 doses and then the remi started attacking my joints--really gave me so much joint pain, I had to get off it.
All was well until 3 weeks ago, and the old familiar blood and mucous came back and that was when I went back on a short course of pred. That helped the UC, but it raised Cain with my atrial flutter. Now on lialda, flagyl,
and cipro--seems to be helping somewhat.
My question is, is it always true that once you quit remicade, you can't go back again? My GI doc did a blood test for antibodies, and if I remember right I was ok there.
Any suggestions? What a bummer--after 20 yrs of this dd, then blessed remission, now this!!!
Back in the fold,
Michigoose
