I was just wondering where I can buy this stuff?

Does it need to be refridgerated?

Are the caps just as good as the powder?

Any insight on this product would be helpful.

yes, it needs to be refrigerated.
I've ordered it from Sigma Tau (I googled VSL and that's what I came up with....)
My doctor prescribes Double Strength for me, because my insurance covers most of the cost.
It's pricey, but if you count cost per probiotic, it's a deal. Once packet of VSL #3 DS (double strength) is the equivalent of 900 Align capsules.... for less money than that would be.
My son uses Align... I've used Ultimate Flora and Primadophilis with good result - there are many out there.

Call your pharmacy and see if they will order it for you. I was able to get the VSL #3 Double strength without a prescription but only b/c I think the lady at the pharmacy didn't know anything.

I just tried to order it thru our regular pharmacy and she asked me for a RX. So I'm getting the GI to write a RX.

It was very expensive. We paid $105 for 20 satchets. I'm hoping now when I get the RX the insurance co. will pay for some of it.

We started off slow with it b/c it can make you bloated and gassy. Also, when you first start taking it, you might experience really smelly gas. That was our experience anyway. We started with 1/2 satchet mixed in applesauce. Do not mix it into anything hot. It'll kill the bacteria.

thanks for the information folks.

After making a few phone calls, my GI is sending a script over to CVS for me as my insurance is going to cover most of the cost. I'm going to give it a try as I'm sick and tired of pred and asacol!
