Best to you and him. You need to change your signature name from Chris's Colon cause it doesn't exist anymore!

i could change it to Chris'colon:goneforgood... hmm i'll have to think about
it.
no eating today... but will start clear liquids tomorrow. should be able to go home by this weekend.
big news: he was able to hold a BM long enough for me to unplug his IV pumps and get to the toilet. it was pretty exciting.
he's still having some pain and cramping, but even so it's not as bad as the pain he used to get with his UC BMs.
i keep telling him he's brave and he keeps telling me that he's not. little does he know, he really is. he's spent the last week completely naked and loving it. all the nurses love it too. ;) and when it's time to change the bandage over the drain in his abdomen, he has to remove the old one, and don't anyone dare try to help. gives him a little feeling of control. kids are so funny.

Thank you for sharing and for the continued updates. I have a little boy so your story has really impacted me. I hope Chris continues to heal and can go home this weekend.
