APRISO AND ALCOHOL USE

I never drink alcohol since I was diagnosed with UC.  I know the prescribing info states do not take alcohol with Apriso.  However, almost all drugs do say that.  Would it be ok to drink a half glass of wine or one beer once or twice a month can find no definitive answer online.  On the very rare occasion that I do eat dinner out, it would be nice to have a glass of wine rather than a soda.

I still have some beers occasionally. I would say I am about 80% well as far as flares and feeling good goes. I am currently on Lialda 4/day and Canasa once nightly. I was previously on 12/400mg Asacol a day. I use to drink more before UC, but I am being more health conscience now. The only difference I feel after drinking (3 or more beers), is that the next day I may have an extra bathroom trip or a headache. I generally have no after effects if I have 2 or less beers. I don't think having a drink once in awhile is a terrible thing - as long as your body doesn't make you pay severly for it. I think moderation is the key. Too much alcohol too frequently with any medication is generally not a good thing and could be hard on your stomach and/or liver. As long as I'm still alive I'm going to enjoy having some beers here and there.
