I am wondering if anyone else suffers from nausea and loss of appetite?  I also have some cramping but not bad.   I am wondering if it's the Apriso.   I have recently started back on the hydrocort enemas after tapering to use Rowasa and having loose stools again so I am rotating the two now.    I have no desire to eat whatsoever.

I never have appetite when I am flared up, even if it's mild. I don't know if it's actually lack of appetite or that I fear the repercussions of eating a decent meal.

Are you feeling more stable now that you're rotating steroid and rosawa enemas?

Yes, I have only been rotation for 2 days, today I have only gone once so thats a good thing. I am just so nauseous and have no desire to eat at all but this has been going on for a couple of months, that is why I wonder if its the Apriso. My GI took me off my probiotic but that didnt help. I am changing GIs and going to my new on Feb 7. I will discuss possibly changing my oral med. I wish I could just stop the Apriso to see if thats the problem but afraid of what may happen with my UC!

I tend to get nausea when I am constipated. With my flares, I suffer more frequently from constipation than diarrhea. I get really bloated and nauseated to the point where I take OTC meds for it. I hope the change in meds is bringing you some relief.

nausea can accompany limited inflammation in the rectum...I definitely have that. But, I never lose my appetite in general...just sometimes for some foods.

I hope the rotation helps you get back on track.

For nausea and cramping I use Bentylol (dicyclomine).
