Are you flaring? That can cause fevers. Having inflammation in your body is generally exhausting on your whole body.

I am not sure a liquid diet will help with the symptoms but it may make you go less (if you're going a lot) which can be helpful. I haven't noticed any food helping or hurting my situation significantly. I alway shave bad gas and bloating when I am flared up and the worst is that I can't pass the gas without passing blood.

Do you have bleeding or mucus? Urgency? Frequency? My first symptom of UC was light bleeding on the TP. I've always been abnormally tired.

I can't say for sure but it sounds like you very well could be dealing with UC or proctitis. I have had the sensation of having to go and being unable to go when I was flared up. Some people do deal with constipation but my issue was constantly having to go and rushing to the toilet and only passing a bit of blood and mucus but not feeling relieved. Of course, my condition is probably much more severe because I was untreated for a very long time and the UC ended up effecting my entire colon (not saying this will happen to you, some people don't treat and their condition does not progress).

You could be dealing with hemorrhoids, that would be very easy to manage. Try not to stress. You will get your colonoscopy in a few days and find out what you're dealing with. Even without the biopsy results, if the GI sees inflammation, he or she will most likely give you medication to treat it. When I first got checked out by a GI, she thought I had hemorrhoids and gave me a steroid suppository sample which cleared up my symptoms. unfortunately, when I stopped, my condition deteriorated. I was prescribed another suppository called Cansa after and those helped me a ton for a long time. I still use them...
