Ordering asacol or asacol HD from canada. Who's the cheapest??

On one site I found a 30 day supply of asacol 800mg for about $225.00 a month, seems to be the cheapest so far. Anyone know any other sites with a better deal? Does anyone's insurance cover ordering from canada if you live in america? Hope everyone is having a good day today. Thanks.

I've ordered from Canadadrugs.com. They are probably not the cheapest but they are reliable and I think more reputable than some drug stores. I just looked and they have generic Asacol 800mg 150 tablets for $140. I am not sure how many tablets you take per month. other people may respond with cheaper alternatives. I know I've seen a lot of people mention ordering from Canada. You could try searching.

The generic asacol is in 400 mg tabs. That ran 30 cents each on large orders last time I checked. Nortwest(?) in BC. You got a special lower price by google searching.

Hi, I just saw this post. Did you talk to your doctor before ordering from Canada? Do they recommend it? Since Asacol HD changed their program I can't afford it anymore which is why I am looking into Canadian pharmacies.

Also, has anyone tried the generic from Canada?

I was wondering what sites in Canada are the most reliable to order from?  I'm a little afraid to order from Canada, but I too cannot afford Asacol. :*(

Does Canadian Asacol have the same ingredients as American?  Also, the generic for canadian asacol...it is just called mesalamine?

I feel everyone's pain about losing coverage for Asacol.  I am hesitant to switch meds because Asacol helped me get into remission along with Canasa.

I was just told that the generic for Canasa in Canada is Salofalk, and that it's like $70 for 30 suppositories.

I started off with CanadaDrugs.com since I found the most documentation and recommendations on them. Now I buy from Big Mountain since they are the cheapest. Again, see the link above.

The brand Asacol one gets from Canada comes from Tillots Pharma AG. Foil sealed blister packs, sealed boxes, lot numbers all match, straight from the manufacturer. Does not go through a processing center where they dump 10,000 pills into a bottle then ship that to the local pharmacy.

When you buy from Canada, you pay for it yourself.

I have bought the generics and I did ok on them for quite a while. I did end up not seeing much effect from Asacol after a while, I doubt it was from the Asacol being generic but i was taking generic at the time that i flared up. I started regular Asacol because I got insurance and it still doesn't 'help like it used to. not sure why it became ineffective. I guess it happens to a lot of people so it's not too much of a shock.

I have insrance that I pay for , Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield with prescriptions through CareMark. Even with this insurance of which I pay $400 a month for just myself , Horizon Blue Cross/CareMark only pay's 50% for all my prescriptions. Brand Asacol HD 800 here in NJ costs  me $850 for a 270 pills through my insurance. That is for 3 month supply at 1/2 price. I just can't afford that anymore. I decided to order from Canadian Pharmacy Meds.com. They seems to be the most genuine of the reviews I could find. I just ordered 360 Asacol HD 800 tablets brand name for $435. Not cheap but a heck of alot better than getting them in the states. Unfotunately I am reluctant to try Asacol Generic at this time as is appears that they be manufactured anywhere in the world, from India to Mexico. As long as I can still afford it, I will take my chances with brand Asacol for now.

Of the Canadian pharmacies I've frequently, I've asked and they've honestly answered me about the source of the drugs BEFORE I ordered.
